Founded in 1953 by Dr. Paul Janssen, Janssen Pharmaceutica NV in Belgium has been part of the Johnson & Johnson organization since 1961. We discover, develop and produce medicines and therapeutic solutions for patients. Our main concern in everything we do is patient care, and this has always been our primary focus for more than 60 years. Our 4600 employees continually aim for breakthrough solutions in the treatment of diseases.         

Our division, Janssen PMP, established in the 1970s, is a world leader in the development and formulation of new and highly effective active substances and end-use products for the protection of materials and food. Through protection of our surroundings, Janssen PMP aims to protect the health and well-being of the people in the environment in which our products are being used.

Our logo symbolizes the concept behind our products: A “FORce” to create a healthy and hygienic environment (“SANA” is Latin for healthy) by forming a shield (blue arch) against various micro-organisms (colored spheres).
